  8. MakeCD is a program to create Amiga CD-ROM images (including Amiga
  9. Protection Bits and Amiga File Comments, and of course Rock Ridge
  10. Extensions) and to write CD-Rs.
  11.  
  12. This is the feature list of MakeCD:

  14.    * Amiga protection bits und file comments in CD-ROM Images.
  15.    * Online images (second partition not required)
  16.    * Very flexible CD copying
  17.    * Supports ISO 9660 and Rock Ridge extensions

  20.    * Supports CDTV and CD32 (bootable CD-ROM's possible)

  22.      put into one distinct subdirectory each in the root of the

  55.   - New: Plextor PX-R24CS(i) CD writer
  56.   - Bugfix: MakeCD crashed cleaning up after image creation if one source path
  57.     (but not the first one) was invalid.
  58.   - Bugfix: Path prefixes work correctly now.
  59.   - Bugfix: Using ExAll() for directory scanning skipped files in some
  60.     directories.
  61.   - When writing an image file to a CrossDos partition the file was always
  62.     deleted afterwards because CrossDos reports a filesize of zero. Now
  63.     MakeCD uses another function which works with CrossDos, too.

  70. MakeCD Mailing Lists

  73. There are three different mailing lists for MakeCD:

  76.      For discussions with other users of MakeCD. The authors of MakeCD will
  77.      read this list, too, so they can answer questions if noone else is able
  78.      to answer. Sometimes they will ask you what you think about a new
  79.      feature etc. 
  80. ml-makecd-announce@unix-ag.uni-siegen.de 
  81.      No discussions, only announces from the authors. For example we will
  82.      announce new versions and new drivers on this list. 
  83. ml-makecd-binaries@unix-ag.uni-siegen.de 
  84.      This list brings all new MakeCD binaries directly into your mailbox.
  85.      It is useful if you do not have access to ftp servers or homepages in
  86.      the internet, and so are unable to download new MakeCD archives.

  122. We decided to add this line, because Aminet has suspended freebies for
  123. authors (you now have to pay 5 to 15 DM for a so-called "freebie").
  124. Meeting Pearls IV CD costs only 3/5 (14.95 DM) of an Aminet CD (25 DM)
  125. and offers freebies (including shipping costs) for all authors (see
  126. "http://home.pages.de/~MP/"). So Meeting Pearls IV proofes that there
  127. cannot be financial reasons to suspend freebies. If you want to include
  128. this program an any CD other than Aminet and have a better freebie policy
  129. (or if your CDs are cheaper than Aminet), feel free to contact us.
